Tensors, of course, are easy, but I just ran through the first half dozen “explanations” of them I found on the net and on youtube, and the skill brought to bear in teaching the subject clearly and concisely is at zero.
Those purporting to teach tensors and tensor calculus appear to have lost–if they ever had it–any sense at all of how to communicate in the English language. What a shame. You’ll send intelligent novices away sobbing. Not at the difficulty of the subject matter, but at the sheer and obvious ineptitude of the instructors.
